* For the first time in my lifetime, and since 1965 no living player will be inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame.

* In one run ballgames this season, Oakland is a sparkling 21-12. I do not know how that compares to most teams, but it has to be near if not at the top.

* Burgerboy.net has somehow missed this the last two seasons, but take a moment and google Bobby Bonilla’s Mets Contract. To give you a quick summary ,the Mets owed a overweight, not hitting Bonilla one more season of $5.9 million 14 years or so ago. In a great move by player and agent, they negotiated a release and deferred the payment for 11 years with interest. So on that one move it will get Bobby B. in the area of $29 million. Now hear is the impressive part, on July 1 of this year he received payment number 3 of 25. He is now 50 and every July 1 receives a $1.1 million dollar direct deposit into his account. Ha !!!!

* For those not watching Mike Trout’s season this year is a mirror of last season stats wise.
So, what has Trout done as a sophomore? After a .326/.399/.564 season a rookie, he’s hitting .322/.400/.571 –

* Sadly you are probably looking at the last season of Andy Pettitte’s career. He pitched well against Texas but still took the loss, and at 7-8 I cannot see the 41 year old being asked back next season.
