Not that he will leave, but let the club sweat it out. I commend him for playing out his year, and filing for free agency. Personally I&#8217;d probably offer him 7 years at $26 a year. Some clubs will offer more, and that&#8217;s good for him because it will drive his rate up, but ultimately I see no way he is not at 1b, on Opening Day 2012 in a Cardinals uniform. You cant give h 10 years at a ridiculous rate.
