During Induction Weekend at the Hall of Fame, when the ceremony is over they have a dinner for just the hall of famers and the commissioner. We were inducting Robin Yount and George Brett in, so I figured I\u2019d have those two guys sit with Ted Williams at the dinner.<\/p>\n
If you have ever been with Ted Williams you know how intimidating he can be.<\/p>\n
So Yount and Brett are sitting with Ted, and they are scared. Ted is asking them all kinds of questions about hitting. <\/p>\n
\u201cHow many times do you think the ball spins?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHow fast is the pitchers arm?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHow does the wind affect the pitch?\u201d<\/p>\n
Yount and Brett didn\u2019t have any answers, even though they both are in the 3,000 hit club.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou guys are dummies,\u201d said Williams. \u201cBut welcome to Cooperstown.\u201d<\/p>\n
