Saturday the 12th. You would have thought with the front moving in the previous days the fishing would have been horrible. Well guess what I thought it would be to and it was not. I killed it on a Ned Rig. My worm of choice was the Zman TRD in PB &J. 15 in 3 hours , yes I put on a clinic and I was tickled to death. Some small lots were nice size keepers.
Yesterday, I did ok. I got three over several hours. I got two on a Slider head from Owner that I learned about from a class at Bass University. My worm of choice was a Zoom Finesse worm in Watermelon Candy. I had never used this and still have a lot of learning, but I can see this being a weapon. This truly has been the Year of the Worm for me. I set out with a goal a year ago to put a huge emphasis on the worm. I am not sure I have written about this before. And overnight my catches have gone up, my size of catches has gone up, and It has become my go to bait. I had used a Texas Rig worm at a friends pond but almost never on the lake. I decided that this would be the year I gave it an honest try and it has exceeded my expectations. I had used a wacky rig starting last year, and a ned rig a little in 2017 and 18, But damn I sure like the results so far. I will be writing more indepth on this but for now just know if I show up with a worm, I am going to get mine.

Astros are in the World Series. I am a little worried about the Nationals having some time off where the Astros have been go , go go, but I like the Astros staff, I grew up in the Greater Houston area an am thrilled to be pulling for them every step of the way. The City of Houston is a great sports town, passionate , loyal fans, Nolan as a consultant only makes them even more likable.

Arkansas, I predicted bad things a few weeks ago and sadly they are living up to my guesses. Yesterday they were hammered with a 41 point spread. I believe in Chad Morris but I think a fan base that does not and losses like this, or to North Texas last season may end up being his demise. I mean it is very realistic to think they win only 1 more game this season.

Texas Christian Horned Frogs you are my team and have been for 31 years. You make me want to cry. Bad seasons happen, bad stretches happen. But my fear is this while OU never dips or very, very rarely, Texas is on the way up. OSU is in a slight dip, Baylor is headed up, Texas Tech is down but it would be fair to say they will soon be heading up, and my fear is with so many going north, that the recent stretch of a few seasons will make it harder to be back to where TCU has been in the last 20 years. To be honest my fear is TCU is back to being TCU and not what they have been the last 20 years. Lets start with 1980-1998 your win totals were 1, 2, 3, 1, 8,3,3,5,4,4,5,7,2,4,7,6,2,1 Now a couple of those seasons were still in the era of a tie, but the reality is, This is what TCU was, and I wonder if this is where TCU is headed ? This will be the second season in a row that they have single digit wins. Last year they were 7-6. But under my rules 6-6 would have never gotten them a blow game to play , win and get that 7th.

Michigan I am not surprised they lost to Penn St. though I hate PSU. As I have said before my fear is not that Michigan fires Harbaugh, it is that Harbaugh fires himself and goes to the NFL.

Wisconsin lost in a great win for the Illinois. But Lovie will be fired anyhow. But good for them.

Arizona State had a streak of on or near 140 straight games with a TD, longest in the nation, that ended last night. What an amazing accomplishment.

The new and improved LSU offense continues to blossom and I love the new look Tigers and Coach O.

Anyone catch Crooked Hillary now trying to blame Jill Stein and T. Gabbard are now Russian spies ? This lady will blame anyone and everyone for why she lost the election, except the one person that caused her to lose it, Herself.

President Trump was in town. I will be brief. I had tickets because I am the World’s Greatest People Watcher. I wanted to see the spectacle and it did not disappoint. Sadly By the time I arrived the place was full since they oversold and understandably so , with their free tickets. It was funny to see and enjoy you had winners, losers and everything in between. Some clothing so over the top it makes the average NASCAR race dressing look conservative. Lots of street vendors selling things, and plenty of great Americans. I was fortunate enough to see him drive by directly in front of me. A friend took my descriptions and pics and gave it a perfect analogy, it was a NASCAR race where all the fans were supporting the same driver and paint scheme.

God Bless the USA , and you my readers, Burgerboy
