This season, I see us yet again having a average at best team. What I do find interesting is that not one radio station has put a number on how many wins Garrett has to have to remain the HC. My prediction is 9-7 keeps his job. I think Jerry wants him to be his ” Tom Landry” and with all the new coaches, the only one left to fire would be Jason. They somehow forget that a lot of the coaches that were let go, were not really to blame. Rob Ryan did a much better job that he was given credit for. He also gave this team some swag, which I do not think they have currently. My 2013 evaluation of the team is as follows…

There are a million cliché’s out there, you win on the line, you win running the ball and with defense, you win with a qb, blah blah blah. In my my opinion the modern (2013) NFL is one in two places at QB and in the Trenches. We are going to evaluate these two things, and see what we come up with.

QB, We have Tony Romo. He sucks. Sure Tony can win all the games in the world at noon, but you put him on national tv when he is in the spotlight, and he folds like a canvas lawn chair. Examples you may ask? Burgerboy , Why are you so touch on him? Well you have the Seattle playoff game a few years back under Big Bill, he drops the snap, kicker cannot kick and we go home with a loss in the playoffs. Against the Jets in prime time about 3 seasons ago when you had a Ryan family reunion in New York with each boy facing each other and Buddy in the luxury box watching. Tony threw a pick 6 very late in the 4th to the best corner back in football. The Bears game on Monday Night a year ago, 5 picks, The Giants game at home last season 4 picks, while that one does not totally qualify for my theory it was a 3:15 game, not a primetime, I think we would all agree that it is still big when its a divisional game, at home against a team that has one two Super Bowls in the last few seasons to your 0, 2011 final game of the year loser goes home, we lose. It is always the same story with this guy, he cannot win the big game in Dallas. He may one day do it for another team, but I am quite confident he will not do it here. People can say I am a negative person, but they do not know shit. If I am so negative, look at my theory that the bigger the game the bigger the choke job that I am talking about here. The proof is in the pudding. You cannot win with Tony Romo in Dallas Texas.

The other thing you need to win in the modern NFL is to win in the trenches. Our D Line, will have probably at least 3 guys in the rotation, that were not even on the team at the beginning of training camp. Your best guy has never put his hand down as a NFL DE, he has always been a pass rushing Outside Linebacker in the mold of a Lawerence Taylor, and Anthony Spencer is hurt. Our DL has a great coach, with a great attitude, but we have a bad line. Not one of these guys in our new Tampa 2 system is named Warren Sapp, and that I think is a problem in itself.
Your OL sucks also. Fredrick may end up being a good little center, but you over paid for him, by way of the draft but that does not count in this assessment. One of your two guards was a Pro Bowler for a number of years, and that should excite you if it was not for a big but. The but is this, he has not played in a year, he has been on the couch, he is 36 years old, and he missed all of training camp on purpose. Now I understand that training camp is a whip, but there is a difference between being on the couch and top flight NFL shape. Lets also keep in mind that Doug Free is not all that great at Right Tackle and several of these guys would be backups for a lot of teams.

Bottom line is I do not see the team being a world beater because I do not see them winning in the trenches and I sure as hell have no faith that Tony Romo can put us on his back and lead us to the promise land.
