I have not been on here very much and I apologize. For a long time I thought last season and this would be a business of sports place. And it was on occasion but it only works when you post and I have not. This year, or at least as of now, it will be a sports hot topics, like it used to but there will be a bigger business of sports element than it has been in the past. So think maybe 2/3rds business and 1/3 hot topics and interesting news and notes.

Note number 1. Arkansas Football. Your coach ran his mouth, and he paid for it with a loss of his own to Toledo. Sad day for Pig People because while I do not think he is that great Arkansas is turning a corner. This was a big loss and maybe the coach will not run his trap as often now.
Auburn Football. They did not get kicked out of the top 25, but I think in my eyes they should have, You score late to force OT, and then you end up in Double OT to win against a school that quite frankly I am not even sure what their mascot is.
TCU Football You are great, God Bless the Purple.

Serena Williams. I was sad for her, but she played her heart out. There is a reason that in my lifetime that no one has done a season long grand slam. You still are young, you still have your game and you can go after this next season.

Fishing, I have not done as much catfishing this year as last, but I have done plenty of Saltwater fishing in its place and I have enjoyed some bass fishing inbetween bird hunts. I am looking forward to fly fishing in Oklahoma in Nov. Right now my out of town trips are Port Aransas in Sept. and Oct. and at least a couple Nov. to Oklahoma to fly fish trips. in Nov. No hard and fast dates on Oklahoma but I do for the remaining saltwater trips.

Tony Stewart Law Suit. This is a sad situation all around but I am against the law suit. Plenty of investigators without an ax to grind have declared him not guilty to go to trial, so now on the civil side, I hope the same happens.

I find the dissolving of MWR sad, but you kind of could see it coming. When you lose a major sponsor like Napa, and your team underperforms, you are forced to let go of a talented driver because of your shadiness, these kinds of things happen. I do think Bowyer will end up CGR with his former owner Rob K.

Ever wonder how much it costs to run a first tier truck team? Here is a breakdown.
$1.5 million a season.
That comes out to be about $139K a race.
The driver gets $3k a race.
Driver also gets 40 percent of the purse , not counting the tv portion of the purse which the owner keeps all.
The driver gets $50K if he wins the season title.
The driver gets $7,500 to win a race.
The driver could also bonus $15,000 if they finish 2nd through 5th at the end of the season.

So basically a driver , in this caliber equipment could reasonable get a years wages of over $135,000. Not bad for a 23 race schedule.
