Former PGA Tour and Champion’s tour golfer Andy Bean died today from complications related to a double lung transplant. While his wins on the PGA were before I was involved in the game, his three Senior/ Champion wins were not. He won 11 times on the big tour including the Byron Nelson in 1986 and three wins at Doral. Those closest to me know Doral has always been a big deal to me. What people away from Florida might not realize is he was a tremendous fisherman both for bass and multiple saltwater species inshore and nearshore such as snook and peacock bass. He was also an avid bird hunter.

Former Lewisville Fighting Farmer, Oklahoma State Cowboy, Dallas Cowboy, Professional Rodeo Cowboy, and fellow Denton County resident Walt Garrison passed away this week. His US Tobacco Ad will forever be in my memory as a child, I was fortunate enough to watch him eat BBQ one time in an era of cellphones but not Camera phones.
