I hate the damn thing. I have hated it from the get go. It is about money/ sex appeal for the ratings. It absolutely devalues the regular season and proves everything I have complained about in the past. Take this year, in my heart I honestly believe OSU and Michigan are two of the best four. I could make the argument they are tied despite and OSU win. When you are ranked two, you play at home and it takes Double OT to win, how are the teams not the same? But that is beside the point. Just like LSU in the pre BCS era, OSU appears to be getting in the playoff without playing for or winning their conference. Why have big time conferences and championship games if they do not count for jack. Let’s be honest if Wisconsin or PSU, win, the Big 10 rep is going to be OSU. Yet you all cried and said TCU did not play a conf. championship game when they got screwed at the end of 2014. The truth of the matter was TCU is not a traditional power, they lack the sex appeal of OSU, so you put OSU in. It is all a bunch of bs. Why have conferences and why have championship games when this kind of crap happens ? Why even have a conference? We penalize TCU for not having a championship game, even though the rules state they do not have to, then we turn around 2 seasons later and reward OSU for not even playing in theirs. This is a bunch of shit. Yes the 3rd and 4th best teams are playing for the Big 10 title, but it devalues the regular season. If VT wins the ACC they are not going to take Clemson’s spot, truth be told that will be Michigan, which oh by the way will not play or win a conf either. If CU wins over Washington we will reward Michigan not PSU or Wisconsin. This is not good for anyone and that is probably a portion of the reason I rarely watch though it is more personal than a boycott for me.
