A few teams from my own observation that have gotten a big dose of reality. We all know I hate the preseason polls and think teams should be ranked after week 3.

The Fighting Texas A and M Aggies. They started out the season ranked number 6. As of tonight they are 3-7 and have lost 6 in a row. One of those three wins, Sam Houston State.

Kansas. After starting the season a very exciting 5-0 they are now 6-4. This is their reality year in and year out, They never get that many wins in a row but see plenty of 1-4 stretches every season

Oklahoma started out 3-0, then we found out why Riley left, he simply had not recruited worth a damn. They are now 5-5 and three of the five wins are UTEP, Kent State, and Nebraska. While being bad is not the norm for them, it is amusing. I also find it very amusing that Kansas State , a team that in my lifetime has been more teams HC game that likely any other, went to Normal on Parents Weekend and dished out one of those five losses.

Oklahoma State is a yearly contender, but mostly pretender. They have a tremendous fan base, but they are a realistic 7-3 team year in and year out. This season is another classic for them. They start out 5-0 and have gone 2-3 since then. A TCU loss in OT that they clearly dominated in the first half, started their trend of Back to Reality. We also need to be honest, they can win the Big 12 and not get in a crooked playoff.
