So as many of you know I am in the shipping industry. So because of this my last 30 plus days have been a blur since my last post. Here are some of my observations on the changes I was so interested in watching.

Deion, this whole thing fascinates me from a people watching perspective. My immediate observations are this.
1. We still do not know if he can coach. Let us all be honest. a couple of good players in a league with kids that are not near as good and he should be successful and he was.
2. I am not a huge fan of his coaching staff. I think he is bringing too many Jackson State guys and I wonder if this will be a downfall. If these guys were really that great how come they do not have better bloodlines.
3. I like his DC I believe this is a very good higher.
4. The amount of media attention he is drawing is amazing.
5. Is the geography a good fit for him ? I do not believe so but lets see. He brought in a 53rd ranked class. Only time will tell if he can do better than that, but that will go back to coaching. Do kids that he needs to run his up tempo system want to travel to Boulder and play in snow ?
6. While he is an FSU alum, if a warmer weather South East or Florida school opens up, will he leave CU in 3 seasons for that ? I think he will.

I am not a Hugh Freeze guy but Auburn wants to win and I think Freeze likely will.

I was surprised Lane stayed but he is building something in Mississippi and despite falling late in the season I think this is a good fit for him, and believe he will stay for a bit.

I am saddened about the loss of Mike Leach

I think the Aggies are handcuffed for a couple 3 -4 more seasons with a horrible contact that never should have been given out. I also think Jimbo should have gotten Bobby Petrino and given him the reins.

I like Luke F to Wisconsin.

I think Nebraska made a great higher, but I am not sure I would have taken that job.
